The Spires, Barnet Nth London
The spring exhibition by Barnet Borough Arts Council [BBAC] was showing work by local artists through the week at the Spires in Barnet
Me and some of the gang from ISoA [Carol Robson, Helen Ryan and Fiona Pyane] were on duty at our corner of the Spires and who should walk into the place, but the new Mayor of Barnet, Lisa Rutter [inaugerated the day before, I believe] here to open the art exhibition here. She asked me if I would be willing to paint her portrait, to which of course I answered yes, though of course I have yet to pin her down to committing!! [busy lady].
